This is Huckle-Berry a 4 year old Indian Ringnecked Parakeet, we adopted her today! She's been feather plucking and currently molting so she's a bit of a mess, but she's still a gorgeous girl! She's very friendly too, she loves to sit on my shoulder and play with my hair : ]

sorry theres like no pictures i just dont have time to download any but ill get some more pics of her soon !!

This is her looking out the window, she loves to watch what's going on outside

She's playing around/ sitting on her food bowl holder

Yes seriously, there are several large roosts around here and huge flocks fly over every evening, and they often come into our garden.

There are several interesting theories about where they came from, one says they escaped from Shepperton Film Studios (where I work) during the filming of The African Queen, another story is that Jimi Hendrix released a pair that he owned when he lived in London.

There are a few others like that, but most likely it was just a pair of pet birds that escaped!

Here's some on the telegraph pole at the bottom of the garden, they often perch there and have a stand-off with the squirrels!
