whats the difference between an American bulldog and a Johnson's American bulldog? is it just the blood lines or appearance?

stunning looking dog anyway, looks like a real character

Theres 4 types of american bulldogs johnsons, hines, southern white and hybrid, the hybrid is a cross of any of the other 3 types the hybrid tends to have a rednose,in my opinion the johnsons is the most bulldoggy looking one,i have attached pics of my mates hines looks totally diff to the johnsons as you'll see by the pic, hope this has answered your question

yes thats great thanks,

i've noticed the number of american bulldogs increase around my local area a lot over the past few years and i've noticed all different types but the owners only ever same the same thing, its an american bulldog mate!!!

i've noticed some extremely large and built like bricks to a smaller version with the same colouring, some even have the tradional english bulldog stance large back end and smaller front legs, weird i no, i no this is down to people buying them and breeding with a freinds dog and they loose the paperwork and are not full on american bulldogs etc etc

but this is the first time i've heard of the actual name ie johnsons, i did a quick google last night and was amazed at the breed, they are truley different to the ones i've seen around here, and in my opinion the nicest,

they are a beautiful breed and yours is a stunner, look forward to future pics of him,

thanks

andy

beautiful matey,

i think the best way to tell is by the distance between eyes and nose, the johnsons have a smaller distance and look more bulldoggy than the others i've seen, some have a longer face than others or am i talking broken bisciuts??

looks like a handful, but a top quality one ha ha

some of the johnsons have longer muzzles than mine, max is a line breeding(mum to son) it took us a long time for us to find one with a small muzzle, alot of people say they have american bulldogs but actually they have a mastiff cross,i'll try and find a pic of one to show you what i mean
