Are you able to take your intact skunks out in public?

Yes we can and on occasion we do. We don't 'walk' our skunks though, too many random things which could scare them never mind scare them enough into firing off, e.g. uncontrolled dogs etc.
Fred goes to work with Lou every day where he gets to meet members of the public and has been on several visits to our local village pet shop. George has been to Shropshire Exotics on a visit and he was used by me when I did a short talk on skunks for our local exotic animal society.

As cute and funny as he was Pepe le Pue did skunks a big disservice by making out they smell all the time, when in fact they smell quite nice, a lot less smelly than a ferret or polecat.
