Hi,
I got my first batch of small brown crickets today and remeber reading somewhere about removing their back legs to stop the escaping. How do I do this as they are tiny. Any tips?? Also, are they ok to keep in the pot they came in as long as i gutload them before offering to my leos? Cheers

I read this in a book also - I pick them up with tweezers if they're nipped around the middle of the back they will sometimes drop their back legs... if not you have to nip them off yourself with your finger and thumb nail.... not nice but then you can control them cos when you put them in a straight sided dish they can't get out - so no more escapees and no pesky bugs loose in the vivs to nibble and pester your lizards!!
I do this for all my lizards from geckos to beardie - makes me feel better knowing where the crickets are in the viv.... yuk I hate crickets, locusts are much better you can just chuck them straight in - but they're ten times the price!!
