Default brighter geckos?

i read somewhere that tropical fish flake was a good item to feed to feeder insects. i was in a fish shop today and was looking at all the diferent types of flake and there was one called JBL Novo GranoColor that promised increased colour and contrast in the fish, will it make my geckos shiny bright? does anyone know

no its not a joke, maybe shiny bright is, but does anyone think the additives in the flakes might enhance reptile pigmentation?

Feed it to your crickets and see!
I feed them fish food, but never thought about feeding them stuff for 'colour enhancement'. It may well have an effect - it's probably natural caretenoid (sp) stuff, that works on a lot of animals.

the fish flakes fed straight to the fish is meant to enhance colours, but feeding flakes indirectly to geckos through the crix is unlikely to work.

why do you think this? if you feed a cricket an apple esentialy you are feeding your herp an apple wrapped up inside a cricket, surely if the feeder insect ate the flakes and then the herp ate the feeder insect. the flake would be inside the herp. i'm going to get some flakes and try it out i'll feed some mealworms the flake and give it to one of my geckos i'lll take a photo before i start and then at monthly intervals and we'll see what happens. does anyone think this is worth persueing?
