I use Blaptica dubia and have had a lot of success getting them to breed (75 has become several thousand in the space of 9 months...) They don't climb / fly / jump, generally don't cannibalise, even during shedding, and I've been impressed with what I've seen so far.

Obviously I can't compare them to any others as I've never tried any other roach species; the others would have to be pretty special to beat the dubias though!

They range in size from new-borns being around the size of a woodlouse, up to adults that are 2"+, and can weigh 2-4g each; larger than some pinky mice!

Cuban burrowing roaches(b.fumigata) are good, they dont climb, theyre very prolific, also orange-heads(e.portisans), deaths heads(b.craniifer), or the more prolific false deaths heads(b.discoidalis), it depends what you are feeding them to. google virginia cheeseman and check her cockroach list, shes got loads and the cubans are on offer
