Default how long can you keep frozen food?

I've never tried to indefinately keep frozen pinkies, but just wondered how long it would take before they were not in the right condition to be used as food?

I know freezing slows down the process of bacteria doing their thang! but it doesn't stop it entirely as far as I believe?, just... i see people selling 1000 pinkies for decent prices but wonder if i would be able to get through them all (not me personally) before they become unusable as food...

just something I was wondering...

they start to lose vitamin content from the moment they are frozen and if i remember correctly 6 months is the time when they've lost as much as they will. they will still be edible but not as nutritious. there was a post on this before if u do a search.

I say 3 months. Food for human consumption normally states on the packet that you can keep frozen for 3 months. So thats a good indication

but how does one know how long that rodent has been frozen when purchased?

I have thought about this too... i just try and not buy too many at once..and to always use oldest first... but its flawed thats for sure.
Maybe a frozen on date should be implemented somemhow?
