Default Killing mice

I have made a thread previously about culling mice and the best options seemed to be:
CO2
Electrocution
Flicking on the neck, instantly snapping the spinal cord

I would prefer most to be able to flick them on the neck does anyone have any tips or advice on doing this?

There's whats called a Human Code of Culling in Britain wherein you have to cull animals in the quickest and humane way possible without causing unnecessary suffering.

Technically your also meant to be qualified to do it...meh whatch gonna do?

Electrocution is legal but generally frowned upon in Britain

CO2 is acceptable but takes a relatively long time and is fairly stressfull (You can see them struggle to get out)

CO2 is also not suitable for pinkies as they don't breathe enough to inhale the CO2 and it can take up to an hour for them to die

Breaking the neck is the quickest and widely accepted as the most humane mehtod for killing mice/rats and pinkies

Hope this helps

c02 is actually the way vets cull smaller animals. if you do it correctly the animal will not be stressed and will not struggle, you have to fill it about 8% with co2 (do a few tests first to see what it will be (use a displcaement test to calculate how long it takes for 8% of the tub to be filled) within about 5 seconds of this the mice fall to sleep, they shouldnt be struggling atall, then you leave about 15 seconds, and then pump in a bit more c02. then you leave them for about 2 mins, and then they are done. its considered the most humaine way, they only struggle if you suffocate them, by pumping in too much c02 straight away.

have to disagree here, it takes a LOT of practice, and if you get it wrong you have an injured mouse, in a lot of pain!! it is very stressful to both mouse and human, and it is not advised, as you really have to know what you are doing. pluss it is very time consuming as you have to do each mouse individually (i cull about 100 at a time)
