Default At what age/weight do mice start to breed?

as above really. if a male is already in with females will they just automatically breed?
Once I know they are breeding and are pregnant I will separate. Is there any good ways of telling if they are pregnant?? or is it just down to them getting fatter/larger??

Thanks

Default mice

the problem with mice is usually stopping the little from breeding.if your male is with them already, they will just breed naturally.i think they can breed from about 3-4 months old.

oh, cos I read that they stop breeding at around a year old. so that doesn't give all that much breeding time. They are all in together and I just weighed them all. the male is 37g and 2 of the females are 32g. other females are 26g. Wondering if the larger females are already pregnant???
hmm we'll see.
I think they are only 11 weeks old now.

Default mice

they could already be pregnant.as with all things, some can breed earlier than others.and yes they dont breed much after a year old, smaller litters or none at all.
