Smile Moving to worms

Ok ive decided to move Stroodle onto worms because the crickets are doing my head in. I searhed around and found out that Butterworms, Silkworms and Phoenix worms were the best choice to move him on. My question is, what would be best to put a 9 month old beardie on and where can i buy them because my reptile shop doesnt do worms at the moment.

Your beardie will need more than worms as a staple diet , worms should be a treat really.
Have you tried hoppers?
Ive just bought some lobster roaches and im planning on feeding those to my beardies and having the occasional tub of crix n hoppers.

like rachy says worms should only be fed as a treat not a staple.crickets are the best for your beardie but hoppers can be used to replace them.beardies need a varied diet to be healthy.too many worms can lead to liver problems.

Well i was talking to the bloke down the lizard shop and he said that if i want to change from crickets i should use either of those 3 worms so i dont know what to do now because keeping the crickets are really doing my head in, mainly the noise they make, not the chirping because they are silenced but when they jump within the box and the ratteling its sooo annoying but if there is no other alternate then i guess ill have to find some way of keeping them quiet

Pollywog sell pheonix worms which are very high in calcium, I bought some for my leo though and she won't touch them! I know general opinion is not to feed just worms but I do actually know quite a lot of people who do and have very healthy beardies - please don't all shout at once as I don't keep a beardie and would probs feed it crix if I did cos it would be cheaper. I hate crix too so understand what you mean.

I agree in general on not using worms as a staple but Phoenix worms do make a good staple feeder. If you can afford it that is! They will work out seriously more expensive than crix. Andrew (pollywog) is the UK importer and distributor for them, and he's been raising his frogs on them and the baby whites i bought from him defintely healthy! great appetite and beautiful

What species of crickets have you been using? Blacks?

Silent Crickets are much quieter, not silent though. But if you get standard size they don't have wings so can't make chirp.

Other wise i think it would be advisable to use Locusts.

They also love chasing their food.
