we breed loads of tropical roaches
all we do is put a heatpad under a rub (fairly big) with some bark chippings at the bottom and loads of bog roll tubes and we have loads

I haven't 100% decided yet but it will be either turkistan roaches or Dubia roaches, I am heading more towards the dubia roaches as they are the slowest to breed and I don't really want any that breed to quick yet.

Dubia are not the slowest roach species to breed - they are very prolific, they just take a little while to settle and get going. They are an excellent choice though. I use a large plastic tub, no substrate and vertical egg trays. There will be an article on breeding feeder roaches in the next Practical Reptile Keeping magazine... Cheers, Mark.
