Default Beardie Food??

This has probably been listed thousands of times before, but in simple terms what is the best mixture of fruit & veg for my beardies on a daily basis?

Try to give your beardies as varied a diet as possible, that way you know they're getting the good stuff and they don't get too bored!

yes that is pretty boring lol

Rocket is good though.
I buy the mixed bags of leafy veg from supermarkets, they usually contain a mixture of 5 or 6 of the following

Frisee
radachio
romaine
tango
chard [red or yellow]
chinese leaf
baby leaf
and er.... i just realised i havent looked at th ebags in a while lol.. rusty.. anyway the ones with those in lol.

Also I use watercress, basil, parsley, Corriander, peas, runner beans etc
I buy frozen fruit coktail in a bag and defrost a bit but only use once a week for the beardies.

If the beardies get a mix of half a dozen to a dozen diff food items in a week yourl be doing ok.

My beardie can be stubborn about his mixed diet, stares at me when all he gets is veg!

Can anyone tell me how they prepare leafy food, do you cut it into small bits or does the beardie manage to eat chunks out of it.

with the leafy stuff the bits can be fairly large as they are lightweight and easy to chew, a piece easily the hole size of the beardies head is ok.

I usually just grab wadds out of the bags and grab a knife and do a few chops nowadays.. although really your suposed to trear lettuce leaves etc rather than use a knife... appparently.

Little pieces are fine too though, beardie will just munch them up.

try butternut squash my beardie goes mad for it.
you need to cut it into small pieces and put it in the microwave for a few seconds to soften it.
and mango
