Default Biotopes

Has anyone setup a biotope aquarium?

Either fresh or saltwater

Picking up a new tank and am unsure what to do with it, pics would be great.

Yeah they are cool, adds something extra aswell as you have to plan everything and then source the right fish

There are some great photos on PFK but most are setup by professionals.

Not sure wheter to go with a freshwater amazon or a redsea.

Who are you on pfk? Same name? (I am)

I had a malawi tank for a while (also no photos, sorry..). Was nice, but its pretty standard, but it means theres quite a few fish to choose from, lots of pseudotropheus morphs and things. Pretty easily maintained as well.

Aye, gorgeous colours, generally pretty awesome fish. Only had mine for a couple of years. I did have photos, but lost them ages ago in me computer/laptop transfer

Never kept cichlids so there's something else to consider.

What would be a good size tank for Tanganyika or malawi cichlids?

The one i am getting is 5x3x2.
