Default Tropical pond

Anyone ever tried to build a tropical pond, or succeeded? Outdoors, indoors, greenhouse? Just curious. Always been a project I'd like to try at some point.

Yep, I used a cheap 100g rigid pond as a tank for a while, made a fantastic pond for my flower ray. and to top it off I stuck an acrylic window in the end and ran it off a sump.

I would certainly consider doing it on a bigger scale but then the cost of an acrylic window grows and savings of using a convectional tank decrease.

luck guys! I'm going to have to do something in the future for my Fly R T, Do you guys with ponds find condensation to be a problem?

Nah got 2 kitchen extractor fans above it. So the water evaporation is not an issue. Just top up as needed which is not a whole lot.

No problem with condensation, the only problem was the humidity being produced, hence the extractors

Yeah, didn't really think, I have a 5'x2'x2' tank with an open top and no real issues, sounds like you got it sewn up!

yeah and got plans for a new bigger one already lol. same sort of system. The new one will bash the humidity up stupidly, so going to have to re think the air systems. Risks of 80% humidity and thats not a fun way to work, so going to put a much bigger central extractor in I think, and sort out some kind of proper lid
