Wish we had the room for a huge one, but alas no, we did keep years ago and had a 6ft reef, it'll still be small (the new one) only not quite as small as a 5 gallon.

How much work have you found it Pam?

We also have no room for a large reef setup and ahve been put off these assuming they would be far too muhc work for such a small setup.

How are you finding maintenance etc?

Yup Mikes right, they are hard work, you have to keep on top of them, they need maturing very well in the first instance, and keeping the load down to a minimum and adding slowly is a MUST not a guidline.
Regular checks on quality of water, regular partial water changes are paramount, oh i'll leave it till next week just cant happen with these size tanks.

But that said, if your prepared for the amount of work and can put the time in they are so much fun and give alot of pleasure.

oh i forgot to add, always make sure you have spares of everything, filters, lighting and powerheads, if one goes its urgent sometimes waiting 2 days for a delivery is too long, crazy but true.
