just hit me
i can make an under gravel filter for the tank out of the existing filter gear as it all comes apart do you think that would be a good idea?

Nah undergravel filters hold there own nightmares (impaction and again ammonia problems), your better off with an internal powerfilter.
Plus as stated, you need extra filtering not just moving the existing one, how would that aid the tank? |
