Ah wicked. I hate that people recommended 1gal as suitable for a betta. 2.5gal should be the minimum imo. My male was very happy in his own 10gal lol.

Yeh, I totally realise that. I was tempted to not put the 'kidding' bit in so it kicked off... but thought better
