A LOT of people keep them in bowls or similar. As long as you actually know what your doing, considering bettas are labyrinths, and you have the time to do enough (probably daily) water changes, and they need to live separatly, its all good.

woooah. Careful on here mate you're likely to get your head ripped off for comments like that. Always leave something so you can go back if you need to, there's alot of very very touchy people in here with closed minds other than that i'd be inclined to agree to an extent (see, leave something so you can change later lol)

LOL.....on others forums there would have been hell up there
![]() All our males are kept in a minimum of two and a half imp gallons, all heated and filtered with live plants. I wouldn't keep them in anything smaller unless they are very juvenile and then only for a limited time. You dont get to see the best of them in small tanks. However, there are exceptions, some male bettas freak out or sulk in bigger tanks. We have 16 males waiting to be sold and they are in smaller tanks, but have 2 x 100% water changes every day. We found recently that one of our breeding males had clamped fins, so we put him in one of the smaller tanks and changed his water twice a day.......5 days later he's looking really good |
