Same with snakes I think. As long as it is clear that they are hybrids (which is often is with fish anyways), and there are no health problems, I see no problem with it.
Its when hybrid fish get into the gene pool of one of its parents species, or into the wild, that it becomes bad news. Which, is bound to happen with badly controlled breeding.

why do people need to play god?
Natually occuring hybrids are fine. Dont bother me in the slightest. However forced hybrids such as the blood parrot and the flowerhorn are wrong and serve no reason at all. So many much better true species around for people to buy hybrids

But there's no reason not for them, as long as they are healthy, is there? Some people like them, they have a market, they aren't unhealthy (well, most), so its not really that bad is it? Dont get me wrong, I hate the lot of them, would never keep them... but still.

My view is that the ones which are not affected and susceptible to disease are fine, but then there are the ones like bloodparrots and the Flowerhorn, which, IMO, are horrible, and are continuously sold to people who have no idea that these poor things are hybrids, and are susceptible to swimbladder disease, this is where i dont agree with hybrids

breeding any animal to change its features for no real purpose other than vanity is wrong in my opinion. Im not talking different morphs etc im talking different anatomy
eg rotties were bred to be big strong and loyal. They have a purpose to be that way. blood parrots are bred just because some one wanted to produce something that looked how he wanted (and yes it was a man, only us guys could be that stupid) not because he needed it to look that way. Blood parrots are seriously buggered, many cannot eat properly because of their distorted face.
