I've got a pretty nice aquarium but no fish in at the moment. I was thinking it would be pretty nice to get it set up again

My bf wants a shark, men *rolls eyes* lol. And I'd quite like some angel fish (or something else that looks pretty!!)

Does anyone know off the top of their head what can and can't go together?

same as above angel,let us know what kind of fish that you are looking for.i know you said shark and angles but you might want few other fish that might not mix together.

i woild post the size of the tank and ask people on here what they would do with it.might give you a lot more ideas on what to do.

only get silver sharks if you tank is 6ft long at least lol

ruby or red tail black sharks should be kept in tanks of 50gal+

angels need a tank which is 18" tall.

There are plenty of predatory fish species.
The size of your aquarium also limits the amount of fish you can keep together, that is why the size is being asked for.

If you are going to be starting a fresh tank then you will have to do a fish less cycle to get your ammonia/ nitrate/ nitrite etc to a safe level first.

if you have a silver shark not a red tail or ruby you can put them together but with the angel you shouldnt put it with fin nippers or fish with long finnage

Okay, I'm gonna need a bigger tank by the sounds of it. If I start from scratch I can decide on the size of the tank then get whatever is a good combination

the best thing to do is the biggest tank you can afford, look after and what your floor will hold
