yummy anubias!

Just a question, have you got the twine over the rhizome of the anubias, or just the roots? if its on the rhizome, i've found that it tends to rot.

Also, a good grassy plant for the background would have to be the almighty vallis!

Some Cabomba would also be good.

As for the snail these eat almost anything and I support my small collection by feeding them cucumber.

Great looking tank!. Um snails - I think, live off algae and such in your tank, so don't worry he should be fine. Maybe put a peice of cucomber in there, see if likes it

Those social bettas, are quite something. I'd love to have them, but they look alot like female bettas

Someone could pass them of for socials

the twine is sorta resting across a "branch" (for lack of a better work) its not tight at all, just enough to hold the plant from floating away!! that should be ok??

Anubias rots when you cover the rhizome (for example burying it in the substrate), fastening it with twine shouldn't cause any problems.

yeah it's normal! it's just your wood adjusting to life underwater, as such. it's harmless, just ugly and smelly lol. your snail will feast on it
