Default New Cheap Betta Tank Plan

Right

I've got an Arcadia light thing, like a little chrome number that can clamp on the side of a tank etc (one that comes with ArcTank)

I got a small filter

I can "yoink" a heater from work (all legit)

Now.... We sell these kiddies tanks, which after discount will be 20quid
They are 17L, glass so I can fit the heater... I thought I could basically chuck out everthing but the tank, the feet and keep the filter as backup

Only thing is, the Lid is totally gash. Cant fit a light to it really... I've been looking at it thinking how I could cut the existing lid to fit lights or whatever... nothing seems to be a sound plan.

Anyone got a plan how I could neatly fit a lid to keep my Betta in, whule still allowing the light to attach??

how about getting rid of the lid and getting a bit of glass or perspex cut to size and using that i think tanks without lids look nicer anyway

what does the tank look like is it square, rectangular or a weird shape?

the best beta tank I have seen was probably a Apple Cube, someone had taken everything out and just used the shell, looked awsome, ill try and find a picture

We got a couple of cheap clearseal tanks and managed to fit tubes lights in the lids using a couple of clamps. If you can drill a couple of holes in the lid you should be able to do it that way. You can also get lights that submerge in the water and you position them where you want.

Hope you get the little red guy
