Default Feeding baby sea horses...

Can anyone give me any ideas on what I can feed to baby seahorses. I have tried baby brine and phyto-plankton and so far the babies are swimming at the top of the tank and not feeding...

Any suggestions on how to get the little blighters feeding....

I would try Rotifers or Cyclop-eeze should be available from any good Marine outlet

As the fry grow move onto baby brine soaked in cyclop-eeze then fine mysis.

Good Luck with the brood

Its pretty expensive, but 'garlic extreme' from kent marine is designed to get fish eating their food. Soak the food in it then hopefully they'll eat! If the water chemistry isn't cock-on for the particular type of sea-horse then you'll have problems. don't try and feed them too much until they do show an interest coz spare food will not onl pollute the tank but also stress them out.

Hmm if you mean the sea monkeys that you buy with a tank and eggs in a packet, they feed on the food thats supplied with it. You can buy the food off ebay...plus its cheap!! it causes algae etc which the sea monkeys feed off.

If I've got the wrong end of the stick by what you meant by sea monkeys, I'm sorry!! xx

yeah cyclop-eeze is quality food. It comes in frozen, flake, or a frozen squeezy bottle (kinda awkward but it works). Not bad price wise either.

Kent marine garlic extreme stuff isn't too expensive for what your using it for. But compared to other foods that will work just as well its not worth it
