i'd keep a school of danios. they do well that way. today i bought 5 zebra danios a gold gourami, a dwarf gourami and 3 more glo-lite tetras. keep at least 5 danios. but as you know they can die without permission. are zebras expensive there?

Habu do you have any idea what a zebra is?

the fish you've recommended are by no means suitable to be kept with malawis

oh, i though you were talking about danios, sorry you are talking about malawi cichlids, those zebras! my bad. i love mbunas. are they beating her up? i used to crowd them together to minimize conflict and lots of caves. i used beau-coup lace rock. dude! i really thought you were talking danios! they will wear her out if she can't get away. i kept many malawi's. zebras were the easiest to breed. yellows everywhere. that's why they are the cheapest here. again sorry!! p.s. danios have egg spots also!

What size is the tank and what other fish are in the tank?
Pseudotropheus zebra arent one of the weaker malawis, i would advise as habu said with malawis Overstock the tank as so they cannot create territories..this may sound "cruel" to herp keepers but believe me, this is how they naturally live..you have fish taking up the crevis' and the literally hundreds of thousands of cichlids hanging "off the ledge" so to speak.
