get a harem going and rock piles going. what species and how many gallons is the tank? is your Ph high enough? do you salt? i reccomend limestone. are your malawis Mbuna or something else. how big are they? the water is important. space your rock piles out.

breeding johannis and zebras are easy. mbunas love frequent water changes. i had the opposite problem. mine wouldn't stop breeding. auratus are also easy. here's a website that may help. remember they love outragiously hard water. and a high Ph.
Breeding Mbuna 3 females at least to every male.

an aurattus has between 10 and 30 babies. dip her out when her mouth is full and put her in a separate tank, 10-20 gallons is good. the male aurattus will switch colors when he is ready to breed (mature)

labiochromis are great. treat all your Mbuna basically the same. haplichronis and others (open water types are different.) venustus are cool fish. but start with aurattus and zebras to learn with
