Default Wood and water

Instead of building a beach area for my turtle in his new heated indoor pond I thought I'd build a sort of jetty, I'm just concerned about the wood leaching toxins into the pond. As well as the turtle there are some tropical fish which are likely to be more sensitive to water conditions. I had planned to deck the rim of the pond (its raised above ground level) - but I'm also concerned that splashing water and humidity may cause toxins to leach from traditional garden decking.

Anyone know of any types of wood that don't harm aquatic life?

just soak the water for 2-3 days, totally submerge it though, and that should leach out any toxins

Is that with any wood? Can I just use untreated timber from wickes or B&Q soaked in water for a few days?
