they have 7 settings and i would use them on a low one, i was wondering if these would distress the fish at all, any thoughts?

they can also be used in vivariums!

no most fish are fine with them.

The moon lights come as standard on the new Red Sea Max(when you turn of the main tubes they come on automatically) so i would say that if anything they enhance your tank.
