Default fertilizer

how much does it cost for aquatic plants? and is it a must have for the plant?

aquatic plants are the same as terrestrial plants in that they are all different. some have may requirements and others need very little care. also price wise they vary from cheap to expensive. a good liquid fertilizer will only help your plants and is cheap. some don't really need too much fertilizing others are very demanding. and just like land plants some need very little quality light others need strong light. start off with some good beginner plants that are undemanding. plants are easy and really help your tank. i have to constantly prune mine so that they won't take over. try them, you'll never go back to a barren tank again. they can "make"the tank

thanks for the advice! i ended up getting some starter plants and wow, does my tanks look good. still working on fertilizer though. get it tommorow!

i just wish i knew more about the different species. i just stick to the ones that work for me and that i like. there are so many and half of them look alike to me. some people are REALLY into them.

the guy in the LFS was into them, he told me what ones are best for the fish i have, light i have, P.H...every thing.he was really good and helpfull.

I bought a bag of pond compost from a Holly Bush garden centre for £2.50 for 11 litres, I think it was, and my amazon swords love it, lol, there is an inch of leaf growth ecery day

spaeaking of swords, i've had the same batch for at least 7-8 years. they just keep having babies! endless supply. my wisteria is trying to take over. the fish love it. plants are great!

I re-planted my tank last year, and when I took out one of the swords, the root system covered the entire base of the tank

they'll regrow evenif all you have is a root ball! tough plants, just the way i like them
