hi my nan has jus had 8 swan mussels dumped on her she took them coz the guy said he was jus going to throw them in the bin (literally) coz noone wanted them
so she now has 8 swan mussels but we dont know anything about them ive googled them but it mainly comes up on how to make a chouder with them

so far the only real info i can get on them is they grow to about a foot and lay larvae on fish is this true and does it harm the fish?
really i need to know please is;
what they eat
how much space would 8 need
any special requirements
what other fish cant they mix with
and any other info on them that might help
