I love your tank! The neons are so sweet.

does the male fighting fish not try to kill the females all day long?

i think they (brainiacs) call it competetive exclusion. the girls just need a place to rest. like Mbuna, he has to divide his attention between them. thus, lessening mating pressure. clever!

Lovely looking tank.

I love the fighters, I use to have one male and 3 females.

Never had a problem with them fighting, its just when males are put together.

I kept 1male 3 femals in my 120 litre with no problems. How do you find the bettas and the serpae tetras/ and the neons, both are known to be nippers. Males tail looks a bit tatty but im sure its nothing to worry about just keep an eye on things. Other than that it looks really nice!

nice tank, yes keep an eye on the serpaes. Ive got a male with 2 females in a heavily planted tank 4ft tank with about 3 different broods swimming around. The trick is the more cover for the females the betta..get it lol, i can hear the growns
