what sort of fish are they... goldfish, koi carp, shubunkins ? anyway. i would not try to put the fish in a pond at the moment wait till spring then try..... you need to make sure that the pond water has matured for a few weeks ,any plants have been put in and started to establish themselves and most important your filter has been running which has allowed the good bacteria to grow in the filter.... i ceertainly wouldnt think about putting indoor fish into a pond until porbably end of march depending on what sort of weather we have if its warm then try it , if its icy snow and freezing delay it or you could kill the fish... dont forget you should not feed outdoor fish if the weather is below around 5 degrees mine tend to semi hibernate from november until end of march they sit at the bottom in the deep part and hardly ever move unitl it irs regularly wwarmer.. when it is warmer you need to introduce them slowly inot the pond.. try putting them into a large plastic bag with some of their tank water placed in and put this inot the pond it should float this way they will gradually get used to the cooler pond temperature and after a couple of hours release them inot the pond good luck

Yeah wiait till it is alot warmer, then bag them up, and float them in the pong for a bit, then slowly let them out.

I second that. I would maybe wait till after march as well... maybe couple months later. Its going to be a lot colder than it is in the house.

But when you do do it, just do the normal floating, adding some water over 15 mins or so, and then let them out, like esfa said. Good luck!

Yeh. I would recommend doing what Tetra says:

<4C - No food
4-10C - Wheatgerm
>10C - Normal Food

And when its the height of summer, like nearly 20C, or >20C, even growth and colour foods if you want to.
