Peter, would it be possible for you to post the exact wording of the PostDanmark terms stating that it is the recipient who must make a claim? I tried looking at the PostDanmark website, and I can't see a Terms and Conditions page at all, let alone where it says that the recipient is responsible.

Also, in the EU, a seller has a responsibility to sell goods which are "fit for purpose" and "as described". A parcel which was described as containing 1000 roaches but, through no fault of the seller or the buyer, contains less than half of that, is not "as described". If it were us at the mail order company that I worked for, we would immediately send out the missing goods at our postage expense (this has happened when an order has been misread and someone orders multiple goods) because it is our responsibility to ensure the customer gets what they paid for even if it costs us more.

I do agree that if the parcel was signed for without an "uninspected" statement, that DOES imply that you are accepting the condition of the parcel as well. However, the fact remains that your customer didn't get the goods they ordered.

Your customer's word confirms it.

Now, if you don't believe the customer it's entirely reasonable to ask for photographs of the damaged box (and if you receive damaged goods you should always either keep the box or take photos straight away) - but from a customer service perspective I've always felt it's better to give the customer the benefit of the doubt.

I've always believed that the true test of a sales person is not how they handle transactions that go right - but how they handle the ones that go wrong. I would very much like to order some roaches from you, but I am concerned about the policies of your chosen shipping company if they require ME to make a claim on a damaged parcel instead of you, the seller. The seller is the one who makes the contract with the delivery company to deliver a parcel; the buyer has made a contract with the seller, not the delivery company.

People are only as good as you give them the chance to be.

If Rico supplied you with a photograph of the damaged box, would you accept that he/she was telling the truth?

Peter youve already tried making me look like a liar and failed. Ive bought livestock and equipment from other members of this forum and never had a problem.

why did you accept the parcel if in bad condition, you must know what that means when you have done other deals, this is my only way of knowing the truth

a hole where 4cm roaches can get out should be noticed, a small hole wont make 750 dubia run out i dont believe that, dubias dont escape like that, and you have filed a dispute for paypal then your not allowed to speak of the case, that you have done also, you gotta start playing by the rules mate
