ive been looking 4 info aswell, ive found out that u need a large viv/tub (bout 2ft?) wiv plenty of branches and a ice cream tub full of sharp sand, make it damp by dropping water on it (not wet!!) temps at 84f by usin a bulb or heat mat. add a s**t load of sub adult locusts then wait till u see little holes in the sand, once u see this take the tub out and put into another viv/tub at the same temp. they should hatch in 10 days or more!! it says 2 ave 3 vivs/tubs set up, 1 for adult breeders, 1 for hoppers and 1 for eggs!! hope this helps a bit? im gona try it and c how it goes?!!!!!

I breed Locusts, I made my own cage for them made of fine wire mesh, you have to have a light for heat (spot light) you also have to have a tub of compost so they can lay there eggs in (keep it damp) I feed them veg and I get a big bag of natural wheat bran (which I put a tub which they love.)
You can see when they are mating; the female will then put her back end into the tub of compost and lay her eggs. I then move the tub with the eggs into another bigger plastic tub WITH A LID this has to be heated, I have used a heat mat under this you must keep the compost damp. I also use one of those seed propagator things which works very well. My babies love them if I can help more just let me know. I hope this helps. Carol |

I've been breeding crickets and its the same principal really.
Carol i was just wondering if you suffer many losses ? I seem to loose alot of babies as they drown in the condensation that builds up on the side of the tank!
