But DEFRA or the RSPCA do not have the authority to pull you over and inspect your vehicle, they would have to have the police with them. I have travelled over 20k miles in our car in the last year!! and only ever been asked for the license when travelling across the border... back from the EU into the UK by british customs officials.

Unfortunately a few people on the forums seem to be jumping on everyone and screaming about this license at the moment, but if in doubt as to whether you need it, either apply for it anyway, or speak to DEFRA, should just be a quick phone call. If you're not commercial, you don't need it.

cool thanks for the info

hi athravan,
I'v kinda noticed on here that not only with this but with shops, oppinions on keeping animals and many other issue people seem to get slaughtered on this forum theres been a couple of times i've considered saying b to all this and dropping out and keeping myself to myself there are alot of oppinionated people on this site
Ppresent company accepted athravan. Noticed alot of people go on about getting shops closed down
I was only giving an idea so everyone would know where to look to find people, i thought it might make things easier, if i knew i was gonna sh*t from someone telling me i was trying to have things advertised illegally i wouldn't have bothered, sorry your name got mentioned by that guy, i'm at that point too where i think whats the point i didn't start this thread for an agruement and for people to be getting called law breakers it all seams a bit blown out of proportion. And yeah everyday theres somethiong about this shop or that shop and people saying get it shut down, it getting silly.
Oh well hope if nothing else this thread has raised awareness of the free defra liscence

you should be ashamed of yourself Tick. charging delivery!

you should deliver free but buy the animal yourself and then sell it for cost + £25
