banned user
my mate comes on here from time to time and he went to log in today. he forgot his password so reset it and when he finally logged in it said user banned.
could admin shed some light on this situation, he cant see any reason this happened? possibly a mistake. user name is ian kerr cheers chris

Just had a quick look for you and the username "ian kerr" is not banned. He is on the inactive imported user list as he has not made a post.
I think Tbo will need to help you with this one but can you ask him to check that he has activated his new password (he should have been emailed a link)

yeah we activated his new password and when he logged in with it thats when it came up saying user banned indefinately.

Its because he joined back in 2006 and never activated his account or made a post before we changed the forum software in Jan 2007.
I have manualy activated the account. Let me know if there are any probs.
