Posting Guidelines

I know I am quite new here and it’s a bit early to start throwing my opinions around, but I thought I would anyway.

I know a few forums that do this for certain topics and thought it may help to have rules for posting classifieds to save people asking the same questions every time they see something they like.

I even took the liberty of writing a guide.

Species Name:
Latin Name:
Het (if any):
Morph (if any):
Length:
Weight:
Age/Birth Date:
Location:
Contact:
If you wish to supply other methods then PM or email through forum.

Pictures:
If you do not have any pictures it may help to find some of an identical or very similar snake using the internet. But remember to state it is not the actual snake if you do this. Also if you do have some but don’t know how to get them on just ask for help. Most people are generally helpful.

Hope this gives people a guideline and I appreciate not everyone knows all this information every time, but in most cases they know a lot more then they post. Hope someone can do the same for the other classifieds sections.

I've moved it to the Forum Help and Suggestions section as although it is about the classifieds, it's not an advert.. and I think more people will see it here and comment

Most people do put the info thats needed, so I think introducing this would be a waste of time.

Sorry about that thought about posting it here but thought it was more relevant in the classifieds, thanks for moving it.

Incubus, I have been checking the classifieds almost daily and most of the regular members do post nearly all the info, but you get a lot of new people sign up just to place an add and they are very sketchy with it.

And even stupid things like stating you havent got any pics if you dont post them would stop 5 people asking on every add without

I agree with XD2, its a good idea to have ALL the relevent info in the first post instead of having to trawl through 3 pages to find stuff - if i have to do that i usually can't be bothered and look elsewhere, so it will help the seller too.

on a side note, an annoying thing for me in the classifieds is when things go off topic and get nasty - that should earn the s**t stirrers an infraction
