I think its a bad idea as it will be full of people grabbing whatever they can, just because they can and probably selling them on...

I wouldn't word it like that... maybe a "Rescue" section, but chuck the word "free" in and there's a mad scramble!

Rescue section could work, but I think most people that offer rehomes try and vet the responses anyways to ensure the animals will get a good home

Have to agree there are already people that only use classifieds and this would certainly bring in more of those just after a freebie.

I think its an idea but maybe a classifieds advertising the whole site not individuals.

I personally dont think reps should be advertised as free full stop. It does nothing but encourage idiots.

I would not be averse to setting up a proper "rescue and rehome" section though IF there is enough demand.

too many freebie hawks, e.g they have no intensions of buying a camel, but one comes up free to good home, so they get one, because its free, and then 2 weeks later, think why the F*** did i do that, and sell it

really dont think it would work, most people charge a small rehome fee anyway, to try and keep the freebie hawks away

lee

p.s dont ask why i used a camel as an example, i have no idea
