If you see others with reptile forums in their sig can you please report them CWD. We're not trying to pick on you, honest!

Forum links may be placed in the links section only.

Normal sites are fine to be put in signatures though

Without being a smart a*s can i ask what a "normal site" is?

I changed my sig this afternoon to include a link to the Ratsnake Foundation website. While yes their is a forum on the site it isn't the prime focus by any means. The majority of the users come on the site to use the other resources and then leave again without even going on to the forum page.
I certainly don't advertise the site (either in referring posts or my sig) so people will join the forums but i do because i would like to see the other resources utilised by more people.

Are Ratsnake Foundation members allowed to continue like this as long as we don't push the forum aspect?

I think she means a 'look at my pretty snakes' site or a breeders site rather than one with a forum attached.

I have a feeling you're correct.
However, the ratsnake foundation is somewhere in the middle in my view. We publish articles and a newsletter monthly, much like say a shop with updated trade lists. I think they are allowed and some have forums (whether used or not) on their aswell.

I dunno, i guess it comes down to how Chris views it.

I cant see the ratsnake foundation being a problem Dan - I try to use common sense when altering signatures rather than sticking to the letter of the law.

By "normal" sites I mean any site which is not known as or used primarily as a reptile forum.

lol..well i read..on here... in the shelled section last month in some over the top convo about soemthing..THAT
links to websites that have a forum are fine as long as they dont link directly to the forum itself... thats what it said... in like 9 pages repeated numerous times in various wording but that was defo what was said.

I don't think that can be right, I had a link to the Terrapin Tank homepage in my sig and was told to remove it, it wasn't a direct link to the forum.

If you're right though I'd like my link back!
