quick suggestion

I notice that lately theres been loads of time wasters on here and one possible big con!

and i have been a victim a load of times

would it be possible to have a section on the forums where if this happens to you there could be a mediator type moderator to sort this out. if the person who repeated the time wasting/scam whatever , to decent people they should be put on a list that only the disputes mods could add to.. so that when we are contacted regarding buying/seling we can just simply pop on to the time wasters thread and check if there in there .that would save myself and other members a whole lot of grief with these nutters !

I used this method on another traders forum and it worked well it stopped a lot of cons and got respect from the traders !!!
it would only be open to the two people involved to post in
ie both sides of the story get posted then the disputes mod/mods then closes it to make a decision about the dispute /time waste ..

Proper time wasters should be flaged up by the iTrader system, which obviously everyone can check before doing business with anyone. I do mean proper time wasters though, people who dont arrive to buy/sell an animal or pull out at the last minute after a definite agreement has been reached.

I see people calling "time waster" just because people are enquiring about the item too much, asking for pics, more info etc etc... ive found this happens with any forum classifieds, with any niche... I guess because they are hosted on a chat type site people are more inclined to want to ask lots of questions even if they are only slightly interested.

As for a thread, generally I think it would be a bad idea because it would end up as a 1000+ page thread full of people arguing about being a time waster or not after someone flagged them up... and would be difficult to find any information in.

Thats my thoughts on it anyhow

your opinion is final nps but you must realise that the bigger this forum gets the more time wasters it will attract and the more threads with time waster this time waster that will pop up !!its annoying ...

I didnt mean a thread that could be argued by every person i meant a mod opened a single thread that only the two parties concerned could reply to ..
then it gets deleted once the thread is resolved then a thread with proven time wasters names can either be added or deleted to the classified section
it would help to deter these people i think

but hey its your place we are just members getting frustrated by these muppets

Im always open to the majority decision... my point really was that the iTrader system should flag up these "muppets" and that I cant see that a thread would help... you make it sound like I dont care, thats not the case.

I know you care Chris .the itrader is the same thing really but its more discreet i suppose its best for your forums .but the way i see it is that these con men (nintendo wii) and time wasters should get more "air" time ie in the open ..it takes ages to go through this itrader thing and to be fair its taking off very slowly ..

it was only a suggestion any way
