I know it would take quite a few hours to do but I think that in each reptile section there should be sub-categories for each species of that reptile ie,
Snakes > Boas
> Pythons
> Corns
etc, Similar to how the classifieds section is sub categorised

So then in theory instead of people flooding main categories with postings then can select the correct category for their request.

Its been suggested before, but the general consensus seems to be that people prefer the help/chat sections of the forum to be in one section as it makes browsing more interesting. People would miss the interesting threads due to only browsing the section they were most interested in.

As always, im open to the majority though

would have to agree with this.....bear in mind there are a lot of people who are interested in many different species

It's a shame you couldn't have a skin for the forum that would do this as i think the numbers for and against it are pretty close.

If you didn't have to see all the threads your not interested in... [titles are there for a reason, dont have to click unless you want to read]
then there would be even less chance of people picking info up by mistake..
and there would be even more threads with the same questions..adding to the problem.

forced learning....im for it
jk.. but even the busiest sections are easy enough to keep track of.

I'm against keep segregating the forum more and more TBH. I like everything in one section so I can pick and choose from the thread titles. I look at stuff I might not otherwise look at that way and can offer advice where appropriate, or even learn stuff I didn't know about a species I wouldn't usually consider. If it's all in seperate catagories then it's just more stuff for me to have to click, more pages to view, and more threads for the mods to move into the correct sections. Each section will have fewer members on etc.

*votes against*

With the above 2 on this. Havent been on here long, literally a week but the amount ive learnt is phenomenal. I dont think id have looked at as many broads things that i have if it was as segregated.

Livefoods has forums that are more split than this and it just looks like theres loads of forums with not that many posts in.
