Hi there - Can I be cheeky & ask a question (as you've been so successful raising your babies) - I've got 4 larvae born beginning of Jan. Could i ask what you fed yours on when they were this tiny (1cm). I have microworms, and I'm growing vinegar eels, but should I been giving them something more substantial by now ?

Thanks

Thumbs up

Hiya, Mine just ate tiny live bloodworms. At first I did try fry food (for fish) but I stopped doing that and they seemed to manage the worms - although sometimes the worms were as big as they were (they always went for the biggest ones ....duh) they struggled on and made it. Good luck with yours - its really exciting when you see them develop their limbs and toes

Where about in Glasgow are you, and what size are the individuals you have remaining?

Regards,

Andy

Hiya,
I am on the southside (Clarkston) - at an estimate they are about 4 to 6cm long and were hatched 2009 spring/summer. All very healthy and eating well.
