You won't get babies for £20 and anybody who says they are selling them for that price are either nuts or lying.

An average retail price for a baby is around £35-£45.

The price me and Dan are offering is a fair price for the size of the frogs.

I have seen adult frogs around 8-10 inches priced before at well over £150.

My adults I payed a hell of a lot for and wouldn't either consider selling them for anything less.

There was one large adult male on Kingsnake.com a while back priced at $400. People who have these frogs as large adults tend to keep them and if you ever see them being offered they are pricey.

Some of my frogs are 11 inches and they make a great display animal.

Yes I too have seen this advert but have you got them yet for £20?

You say you are getting a pair well I think that might be very difficult to sex frogs of this age and size if they are juveniles.


Also you need to remember that there are African bullfrogs and African bullfrogs. This group ranges from South Africa where the biggest animals are found right upto further north eastern Africa. My animals are of Southern African origin and are more cold tolerant than the more northern localities, in the winter time temperatures can drop below freezing in their natural range of the Southern race. Pyxicephalus adspersus comprises of different localities which maybe later classified as new sub species. I have seen at least 3 different types all coming under the current classification of adspersus. I am led to believe this will change in the future and the group will be re-classified with sub-species. In my opinion true adspersus adspersus are from Southern Africa and these animals are very difficult to obtain because of the South African laws regarding export. I am lucky to have animals from this region.

Right seank im not nuts or a liar, i sold the last one 2 weeks ago for £20 which had been reserved for ages. im now waiting for an order for more, if you had some of the price lists i recieve you will see they can be sold quite easily for £20 and still make a nice profit. As with any dealings with import its very unreliable and just a waiting game.
And as for sexing them your right you cant but then nobody mentioned sexed pairs a pair is 2 where i come from.
So if your having problems selling yours dont start slagging off people that are selling them

I think you have mis-understood me. I am not slagging you off at all. What I am saying is £20 is not the correct price in my opinion, but if you want to sell them for that then thats your choice and good luck.

Oh and I know exactly about importing animals and the costs involved.
