Default newly hatched axolotl babys (pic heavy) and a quick question please

here some piccys for all u axy lovers and my quuestion is how old do they have to be be before they can go to there news homes ....when i find them

It brings back memories!
I re homed mine when they had their back legs well developed . Before they went I made sure that they happily ate a wide range of food from chopped earthworm to small pellets.

At first they tend to feed best on live moving food, brine shrimp, daphnia and then blood worm ( now that is fun to watch them eat!)...once they seem to cope with that I tried dropping a pellet or two in front of them ..eventually they would eat them.

if brineshrimp are too bit try phytoplancton of some sort, you can get it at Reefphyto - Live Food For Your Marine Aquarium., or try daphnia. copods also make good food but take a while, good luck
