fire salamanders are great, its a bit tricky managing the temperatures but besides that there brilliant. i think alot of the ruopean species are actually.

Toads toads toads. It used to be frogs but I love how most species of toads (the ones I've had are Cane, Southern and American) just look so pissed off all the time, they're grumpy and fat and are so adorable when they puff themselves up trying to look mean. Go toads!!

lol, yeah its so funny how they always have that grumpy bastard look on their faces, common american bufo's are the grumpiest looking though... there so ridgy on the head they look like commander warf.

Yeah, the most offensive insult in the bufo americanus world is 'Your mother has a smooth forehead, and she looks happy.' I also love that 'toad' can be used to describe a person - can't say that about frogs, newts or sal's!

There's nowt better in spring than finding your first toads. (OK wel this one might be open to debate )

or watching the newts rising in the pond.
