Default nyika dwarf toads[info wanted]

hey all.. not realy an anphib kinda person.. but just having a look around for information on these... a friend of mine has aquired some somehow.. and ive looked and cant find too much info on them on the web :S

any1 any info on them at all.

as far as i can tell they are quite rare... so not entirely sure how he got hold of them but thats not the issue... its has nothing to do with me im only asking out of curisity befor people assumie im smuggling stuff :P

im sorry ive never even heard of this species before ill have a flip through the books ive got when i get in (at work atm) if u havent found out anything about em by then

thanks... ive been looking on the interweb and cant find all that much... few pictures... but nothing more...

just found out they came from malawi in camra film tubs... 6 in total. they part of the "african society of herpetology , malawi museum and research in malawi" and a few things were brought back by the group that went aparently. will get some photos off him soon just quite interested as like i say.. cant find ANYTHING on the net :P even checked wikipedia :p

try searching for Mertensophryne nyikae or bufo nyikae

tbh the wiki page basically says it exists Mertensophryne nyikae - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Like lots.

Looks like Oak Toad. Did i spy that it's red data book listed?? No it's not CITES listed. Seems to like damp woody areas. How big are they??

less than size of a 50p i believe fully grown...

like i say no idea how they came by them... i assume they cam back in film canisters... so didnt cost anything :S

been reading up with my friend whos studying them... apparently they are pefect for our weather.. because they live at around 6000ft altitude... so to recreate that here... its colder... out temps..
