you may be able to feed garden snails, but you need to follow a strict detox program.
You must put the snails in a glass container and feed them cabbage for 2 weeks...If they have any slug pellets in them they will die during this time.....Then take them out of the container and clean them and the container....Place them back in the container and feed them carrots for 2 weeks....You will notice that their dumps become orange when you do this......Take them out again and clean and place them back in the container with cabbage again.....At this point you know they have been thoroughly cleaned out.... Gordon Ramsey taught be how to do this to make snails edible for humans.... I'm sure if you check this out it should be the same for animals...... But I am adding a disclaimer to this...Although it works for humans I am NOT going to guarantee it for animals...That will always be your choice...... |
