Question VIVS & Dendrobates darts

Hello guys I got a bit of money come to me today and im going to buy a viv or two but wont to know what you think the best size to get would be. Im looking at getting Dendrobates leucomelas / Dendrobates Azureus

So the Vivs im looking to get will be

1 x Exo Terra 60 x 45 x 45cm = 24 x 18 x 18inch
OR
2 x Exo Terra 45 x 45 x 45cm = 18 x 18 x 18inch

If I get just the one tank then I will be looking to have just the one set of darts
BUT
If I get both the tanks ill be looking at getting the two types of darts.

Im looking at maybe getting around 4 of each type from looking around it looks like a group of 4 Dendrobates can go in a 45 x 45 x 45cm tank full time

So guys give me some input I think Im going to go with the two vivs but just wonted to check about the size befor hand

Thanks for looking guys

It would be better to have an idea of which species you would prefer to keep then tailor the vivs you choose to that, rather than ending up with two smaller vivs when perhaps your preferred species could have done with the 24"

An 18" cube wouldn't be suitable for x4 of rather a lot of the available Dendrobatid species I can think of. Are you more interested in "thumbnail" species or larger species such as azureus, leucomelas (bumblebees), etc?

The 24" would comfortably house 3 of a mid sized species like the above two. While the 18" cubes would be more suitable for pairs or trios of thumbnails.
You have to consider that many of the available species are territorial which is an additional limiting factor

Derrr!

Just noticed you actually mentioned azureus and leucomelas.
If you wanted to keep both species you would be limited to a pair of each in an 18" cube each.
Alternatively you could choose 3 of one species for a 24" viv.

Sorry I didn't read clearly the first time!

My own opinion that 3 is really the limit is based on having kept leucomelas and currently keeping azureus and knowing how active these animals are and how much space they really will use.

Ok just got back I cant get the 90 x 45 x 45cm so im back to
45 x 45 x 45cm or 60 x 45 x 45cm

So the max I can have in a 45 x 45 x 45cm is 3 whats the max amount for
60 x 45 x 45cm

I will be looking to get both types of darts
Dendrobates leucomelas and Dendrobates Azureus not right away but can get both vivs setup

If it helps, I have a group of 4 leucomeles in a converted fish tank, which is 24 x 15 x 15 inches. It is heavily planted with plenty of hides. They seem to be quite happy, given the amount of calling going on in the tank!!
