Default Vomiting toad-help

I bought some earthworms, from a live food supplier not from the garden, for my fire bellied toads. However about an hour after feeding them i noticed one of the toads sitting oddly with his head bent forwards. I watched him and he vomited out the worm. The other toad is fine so i can't work out what made him sick. Also should i try feeding him again with something different or leave him for the moment.

I just wouldn't feed that toad earthworms. Do you know if the earthworms were in soil with chemicals or something like that. It may have just been that worm, but thats just me thinking!

The substrate the worms were on was a sort of light brown thing a bit like eco earth. I don't think there would be chemicals as it was from a live food company and the other toad is fine. I was wandering if the worm was too large so should i try giving him a small piece of cut up worm and see if he keeps it down to rule out any chemicals.

Maybe it was just too big or just did not go down right...? My Bufo did that once but seemed fine after that and ate normally after that.

Thanks for the fast replies.
Should i try feeding him a small bit of worm and see if he's alright or should i try something else. I do have some waxworms but i was concerned thye might be too rich after he's been sick.

Dont feed it a wax worm, we are having to syringe feed a FBT every night on CCF and zolcal-d due to a petshop feeding him them, hes now hooked and wont touch anything else. It cost us £100 in vets bills to find out that he had the amphibian form of MBD due to not getting any calcium off the worms.

Im not having a go or anything just letting you know.

Try him on a cricket, iv never fed mine on an earth worm, they seem too big.

One of our FBTs coughed up his insides about 8 months ago though, they do this if they cant tolerate what they have just eaten.

Ok, i tried giving him a small piece of worm and he was totally uninterested. He has been sick again and this time just sort of mucus came up. I seems pretty sick, he's kind of flattened his body and every so often rubs his hind legs agaist his sides. What could be wrong and is there anything i can do to help him.

awww poor little guy!! i really hope he gets better soon!! I wouldn't try feeding him any more worms of any type, I'd also leave him be for a little while and see if he settles. then try a small cricket later, if no improvement go to the vets!!!
