hi i am looking for some info on fire sals i want to make the tank as naturalistic as poss so what type plants can be used how deep does the water section need to be what lighting if any and any other info that might help also is there such thing as an orange phase fire sal or have i read wrong cheers

well i'll start with water because its easiest, they need a water dish it mustnt be too deep i wouldnt put any deeper than an inch or 2 with easy ways in and out fire sals arent brilliant swimmers.

plant wise anything hardy and non toxic, i have english ivy, spider plants and a dwarf fern in mine.

lighting nothing too bring or that put out too much heat, LED lighting might be a good idea but i dont have any lighting in mine.

and yes some subspecies have orange variants

dont fire sals need deeper water than that to breed

Spend day is correct, just a few inches at the most of water will be right for fire salamanders if breeding is expected.
