Default suitable for darts? opinions please!

Hey. I have been bored and so decided to start mucking about in my exo 45 x 60 tall...I was just going to put in the base substrate but could not stop myself. I still have to put in a background (LOL) and add some hides, plants, and will be getting some leaves..I have not added water yet. I think that once the vines are dirtied and moss covered this will look good...what do you think so far?

I have been looking for some leaf litter and can't seem to find any suitable.

Hi Jenn...congrats on your darts...they are beautiful! You are a lucky lady! I am just going to pour the water in...that pic is taken from the top down and the water area is the front part..the soil slopes up to just 9 inches from the top...leaf litter will be placed on ground level, just up from the water...I am going to look at exotic pets and also dartfrog for that...I have found some fairy moss to add as well. Coco panel background will be used and will add some more plants and vines in time...like I say, I was bored...this was all stuff I already had in the house...think I stil have enough for a stack!

Do you have a drainage layer? I can't tell if that gravel covers the whole tank base or just that front bit...if not, the soil might get a tad waterlogged...

Id probably add 1 or 2 vertical branches so the frogs can use the full height of the viv otherwise your gonna have a lot of wasted space.

Once you've added your background (is this gonna be internally or externally?, I'm presuming internally lol) then you could do with adding a couple of climbing plants which will cover the background and make the viv look a bit more natural as well as providing the frogs with more cover.

thanks for the comments...as I say, it is only half done...going to use coco panels for background and will add other plants then...hides are going to be provided (one will be under the top vine). I am going to add some step type climbing things on the background also I think and these will add more interest and depth... still have to add moss when water is in too...

Already have plans for climbing...I wanted to add some sticks and vine...but until I get the other stuff done I will have to leave it as I think that step is finishing touches...hope you all like it though...

looks fab hun! Im sure i dont have to tell you to make sure the water is no deeper than 1cm incase they drown (or try to drown each other lol!) also how are you going to keep the water clean? is there a filter in there somewhere?

Have you sealed up the holes at the back to stop fruitflies escaping? trust me this is a very very good idea lol!
coco fibre and more plants etc sounds like a perfect viv to me
